Journey To The West
Through circus performance, "Journey to the West" tells a popular story in China. A monk, Xuan Zang, travels on foot to Paradise during the Tang Dynasty to seek the Buddhist holy book called Sutras. He has three disciples - a clever and brave Monkey King "Sun Wukong", a clumsy and amative pig "Zhu Bajie", and an honest and trustworthy attendant "Sha Wujing". The story, complete with dazzling acrobatics, is full of dangers, hardships, as well as demons and ghosts as the four make their way to Paradise. The show is 85 minutes (non-stop) with a cast of 42 performers.
Along with notable national engagements, "Journey to the West" toured Japan for half a year in 2008 and is currently booked until 2010.
