A cosmopolitan versatile multi-lingual indipendent songwriter for EMI VIRGIN and WARNER CHAPPELL, an eclectic producer and charismatic perfomer, Sandra fuses a variety of elements from baile funk, house, bossa nova and electronic music to create an exotic mix with catchy, melodic vocals and a healthy dose of Anglo-Brasilian sex appeal. Sandra is also one of the pioneer of the exciting new baile funk sound. Sandra was born in Cinecitta in Rome from an Italian family of Brazilian descent. When she was six months old, her family moved to Milan. Sandra's grandmother is a jazz singer and her grandfather was motivated by his wish to support the Partigian militancy during the second world war.
She worked for major labels including EMI and Virgin her name has appeared internationally in the worlds of singing, songwriting and Tv and Radio commercials, although she is equally singing for quality independent labels like Schema Records etc. In 2008 she beat off hundreds of contestants to be selected for the "Edison Change The Music" competition with her Baile Funk track "Eco Killers" where they appreciated her fresh musical approach which is further highlighted by the fact she was the first singer to perform a brand new genre of music named Baile Funk never heard before in Italy: her performances were on important italian music televisions such as "MTV" and "All Music".
Her brand new project is a mix of dancehall, miami bass, electro, samba, jungle and world music that has made an immediate impact with Brasilian djs and producers from New York to Rio De Janeiro and London, where she usually performs. She is presently collaborating with some of the biggest names in the vibrant world of baile funk including New York based Xao Productions, Edu K (Man Recordings) in Europe and DJ Amazing Clay from the home of baile funke, Rio De Janeiro. Ever versatile Sandra has also recorded with world famous fidget house artists Defunct from the USA and recorded with the great UK label, Dangerbox Recordings notching up several top 100 chart hits on the worlds biggest download sites - Beatport, DJDownload and Trackitdown, to name just a few.
She can work with the full band (for bossanova repertoire) or Dj set (electronic and house music)
