Mike began piano study at 11. His studies have included Classical piano with Robert Chamberlain through Monash University and Jazz studies with numerous teachers including Steve Sedergreen at the Box Hill College of Music.

Michael performs a wide repertoire of styles including Jazz, Latin, Groove, Contemporary and Top 40, gigging regularly at various venues around Melbourne, Australia and Overseas. He currently performs with his own quartet and numerous other ensembles including a Latin Big band, a Jazz Funk Quartet and collaborates with singers at functions including Melbourne Cup corporate events and his regular performances at Ruby’s Lounge and the Aztec Bar.

Michael has experience abroad including world cruise contracts with Celebrity Cruises, Holland America and Royal Caribbean cruise lines. Michael currently performs in Hong Kong and Macau, performing with acclaimed singer Karen Jones at the MGM Grand casino in Macau and most recently as house Pianist at the Intercontinental Hotel, 1982 Bar in Shenzhen. He has also performed at many Hong Kong Hotels including the Mandarin Oriental, American Club, Hong Kong Jockey Club and the Peninsula Hotel.
Whether it is centre stage or background music, Michael can provide the music to create the perfect setting for your function be it a special function, wedding, restaurant or music festival.

Performed different shows in the ship theatre nightly with a 7 piece show band. The shows included production shows with singers and dancers, big band sets, Dixieland jazz sets and musical accompaniment for Broadway singers and multi-instrumentalists.
