Alexey attended the State University of Arts in Harkov. During his 5 years of study he also performed in cabaret venues as well as in a government program that supported Ukrainian folk music.

After graduation in 2000, Alexey moved to the capital of Ukraine, Kiev. Since then he has performed in the band "The Romantic Trio" (Violin, Acoustic Guitar, and Button Accordion). The repertoire consists of popular classics, evergreen melodies, music from motion pictures, light jazz (swing mostly), and folk music. The Romantic Trio has played:

Another Alexey project is "A Little Bit Gipsy". This musical program is a mix of classical, gypsy cabaret and gypsy swing, such as: "Gipsy Tunes" by Pablo Sarasate, "Chardash by Monty", "Hungarian Dance by Bhrams", "Whistle Hora", "Waltz Pizzicato", "Skylark", "Hora Staccato", "Honeysuckle Rose", "Jealousy", "Lady Be Good" and "Just a Paper Moon" done in Stepfan Grappelly Style (gipsy swing);
Finally, for dessert, three famous Russian songs, "Dark Eyes", "Moscow Nights" and "Kalinka".
