Duo Di is an exciting musical duo of guitar and violin featuring award-winning artists Duncan (classical guitar) and Dora (Violin). Together, they bring passion and excitement into every performance. Following much success as a professional ensemble ideal to perform back-ground music for functions and corporate events the two musicians decided to become a serious chamber music ensemble with the view of performing recital repertoire.
Since then, the duo has performed for the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, the St. Georges Cathedral lunchtime concert series and the Warana Music Club. In addition to this, in 2007 the duo embarked on a successful 11-concert tour of Western Australia.
Duo Di strive to present a wide range of musical styles from original compositions to up-beat world music, cool Jazz, Gypsy Swing, Tangos, Latin dance-music and original composition as well as high-lights from the classical repertoire. The pair remains dedicated to the exploration of new and neglected repertoire for guitar and violin.
