![]() With the original idea of playing a more accesible material and reach a longer crowd, the first line-up of 4 male members started to play in several venues along their town in Mar del Plata, Argentina. The band has a lot of influences from many legendary bands of rock, mainstream pop artists, latin musicians and also big names from blues and jazz music. An open-minded vision of music, for sure. They start playing in private events, and later, the group made a well known tribute show to The Beatles during 2006-07 holidays in the “Museo del Mar” theater. Also, they play regularly in a down-town shopping of their city, with the “From the 60´s to present” show, playing a great selection of hits from that period. From the beginning, The TR Band have been in touch with many entertainment companies worlwide, receiving many proposals to play in Cruises, hotels and night clubs. In middle 2007, they opted to include a female member to the band, and after many auditions the chosen was Silvana Boldrini, making her first show with the guys in October. Now, this group of friends have a solid project and a great repertoire, so…the best is still to come! The 2008 line-up: SILVANA BOLDRINI (a.k.a “Sybil Vane” ): Lead and backing vocals, percussion. JUAN MANUEL VÉRTIZ (“Johnny Velvet”): Lead and backing vocals, keys, bass. GUILLERMO JOSEF (“William Jo”): Lead and backing vocals, bass, guitar. ARIEL NICOTRA (“Ari Nitro”): Lead guitar, backing vocals. CARLOS BRANDI (“Charly Brandy”): Drums, percussion and backing vocals. Members musical studies: Musical education to date: * Silvana Boldrini – (vocals, percussion) •Former member of 2 classical choirs: “Escuela de Canto Coral” y “Coral Carmina”, conducted by Horacio Lanci. •Backing vocalist of THE ABADDYON PROJECT since 2005. •Actually, she´s in his 10th year (Superior level) of the Luis Gianneo conservatory in Concert Piano, Theory, Harmony, History and musical appreciation. * Guillermo Josef - (vocals, bass, guitar) • 2 years at Luis Gianneo Conservatory, learning vocal techniques and musical theory. •2 years of guitar lessons with Tomás Marino. • Actually, taking private lessons of singing (since 2004) first with Lic. Ma. Rosa Nicolai and later with the professional singer Darío Landi. •Still learning musical theory with band-mate Juan M. Vértiz. * Ariel Nicotra - (lead guitar, backing vocals) • 5 years of studies with local guitarist Mario Orbe, learning rock & pop styles. • Actually, learning jazz improvisation with Jorge Armani. • Member (for 7 years) of the first "Queen tribute band" in Argentina. * Carlos Brandi - (drums, percussion, vocals) • 3 years of studies with jazz drummer Roque Figliuolo. • 2 years of singing lessons with Prof. Rodolfo Eandi. • Assistant to several drum-clinics with masters of drumming and percussion. • Also member (for 3 years) of the first "Queen tribute band" in Argentina. * Juan Manuel Vértiz (keys, vocals, bass, percussion) • 3 years of guitar lessons with Jorge Armani (1996-1999) • 2 years of "vocal techniques" with Ma. Rosa Nicolai. • Member of 2 of the best classical choirs of the city, the "Coral Carmina" and the "National University ensemble", with Maestro Horacio Lanci. • 7 years of complete musical studies at "Luis Gianneo Conservatory"- Superior level in: Musical theory, piano, Arts History, vocal lessons and composition. (until 2005) • Actually, taking keyboard lessons with jazz pianist Eduardo Palomo (since 2005). • Composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist; Has been a private musical educator since year 2003, teaching popular composition, arranging, piano, bass and synthesizer playing. • Also, founder and producer of the prog-rock band THE ABADDYON PROJECT.
