On the age of 6, it was an adventure for Michael to play soccer. For 7 years Michael was a talented soccer player, but he wanted to experience a different kind of ballsport. After watching the movie "White Men Can't Jump", Michael's decission was made. Basketball became his sport. On the age of 13 he have played streetbasketball and indoor competition in his town "Purmerend", where he lived with his mother. Michael's talent to juggle or spinning a basketball was still undiscovered. That changed when Michael saw the Nike Basketball videoclip by Afrikaa Bambaataa in the year of 2000. His eyes were amazed by the performers that showed their basketball tricks, and he was convinced he could do that to. Michael was right and his unseen talent to juggle a basketball became a extra hobby for fun. Michael's extra hobby for fun was seen during a basketball school tournament in Amsterdam by the W.O.T.S. (Word On The Street) Basketball Showteam on the centercourt. Michael's talent was discovered and was recruited by the owner of W.O.T.S. Angelo Bromet, and went on tour with the showteam nationwide in the Netherlands. His development evolved fast, which gave him the artist name "Evolution". His hard work payed off in 2005. Michael performed in Europe with W.O.T.S in many countries. That wasn't all, in August 2005 the basketball showteam was invited to Sardinia for the European Basketball Freestyle Contest. Four different countries participated and (Included W.O.T.S., Netherlands) competed against each other. W.O.T.S. won the group title "Nr. 1 European Basketball Showteam 2005". On the individual title, Michael won the title with maximum points of the jury "Nr. 1 European Basketball Freestyler 2005". It was time to step up Michael's experience, when he received an invitation from Theatre Company "ISH" in 2006 to audition for the new touring show "BALLS". Michael was ready for the show and got through the auditions. In 2007 "BALLS" went on tour nationwide in the Netherlands through all big theatres. The tour in 2007 was a success, and Michael was introduced with other disciplines that he found interested (Acting & Dance). Expect the unexpected. After Michael had seen the show "CIRCUS AFRIKA! AFRIKA!", he felt that his discipline have potential for the circus world. He got in touch with the production of "CIRCUS AFRIKA! AFRIKA!" and they gave him an audition opportunity. Michael showed them what he can do best, and after his partner Paly Odimboleko succeeded his audition, the duo act was ready for the show. Michael's feeling was right, and he became the first "Basketball Freestyler/Juggler" that made it into the circus showbizz. In 2008 Michael created his first solo act, that became a huge success. The act was booked for a new theatre show "STRADA" in Fall 2008. That was just the beginning, because in 2009 the bookings kept going from sportgala's to casino's and many other special events. In late summer 2009 it was time to fly to Las Vegas. Michael was invited for an audition by "CIRQUE DU SOLEIL" and passed the auditions with success. Flying back to Amsterdam the new challenge was waiting for Michael. Michael got booked for a new dance/acting theatre show "Boy-ISH/Girl-ISH", which was far from his discipline, but with the experience Michael have in the theatre world, it was not a problem at all to perform as a dancer & actor. After all, Michael and many other dancers had to audition for the job. Michael never thought he would be a theatre/circus performer after graduated as an Bank & Insurance Employee, but with hard work he earned his artist name and he still is.
