Ivan began studying at the State Institute of Acrobats when he was 14, specializing in Icaria. At the same time, he also trained in jazz and ballet. He went on to hold a position in a theatre company, (Madach) in Budapest, where he performed in "Cats" as an acrobat and later as a dancer.

Sampling a range of circus arts, Ivan performed as a contortionist in Zavatta, France and later with a see-saw group as a catcher; touring Europe, Malaysia, Korea, and The United Arab Emirates.

Ivan is currently performing a modern circus style choreography using aerial straps with partner Maya.
