![]() Samuel and Sylvia have worked together for three years to combine their backgrounds in aerial arts, gymnastics, and contortion to create this dynamic aerial adagio act. They developed their act independently without primary instruction from a circus school or having a dedicated trainer. They have performed for private events, festivals, and corporate functions as well as larger productions, including the Swiss Christmas Show in Zurich, Switzerland, the Zoppe Family Circus, the Seattle Moisture Festival, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Circus Mojo and Dreamcast Entertainment's production "Taganai". In February 2010 they competed in the 3rd International Circus Festival of Albacete, Spain where they were invited to perform in the awards gala and received the prestigious Critics' Choice Award. In August 2010 they were the first American circus artists to perform in Havana, Cuba since 1959. They competed in the 9th International Circus Festival, CIRCUBA in Havana Cuba where they earned the Bronze medal. In March 2011 they competed in the 4th International Circus Festival of Bayeux, France earning the Bronze Medal. Written and performed by Matthew Schoening Performance Specifications: Standard set up: Bar and rope static "dead hung" or set from static crane bar between 25'- 30' (7.62- 9.14 meters) from ground. Rigging: Two, 52' (15.85 meters) Double block pulleys with black kermantle rope (main falls). Bridge must be tensioned to four ground anchor points. One Duo Trapeze Bar 40 inches wide, ropes 8 feet (2.43 meters). One Spanish web 25' (7.62 meters) long Safety: One precautionary 6' x 12' x 12"-24" landing mattress (1.82 x 3.65 x .30-.60 meters). We do not use a mechanic system. If the venue does not have a mattress this size, we are able to ship ours. Size of mattress when folded is 6' x 6' x 2', (1.82 x 1.82 x .60 meters) weight is 115 lbs (43 Kilos). Transportation: One shipping case, size 48"x16"x12" (1.21x .39 x .30). Weight +150lbs (55 kilos) when fully packed, can be less depending on what rigging is available at the venue. | ||||||
